Epigram Books – I Love Idioms Series #personalproject

I Love Idioms is a picture book series that asks: what if the things we say every day were actually true? Each story takes a familiar phrase and turns it into a small, literal adventure.

I wrote them for children just beginning to untangle language, and for adults who remember how fantastical idioms sounded before we learned what they were supposed to mean. Pfft.

In Book Three, Wei Wei is not a fan of effort. Everything feels like too much until someone offers cake. He gives it a go, and things start to feel surprisingly doable.

It's a story about confidence, encouragement, and how effort sometimes needs a little reward.
